Foilfast® Printer Model 21

The Foilfast™ cover printer uses a thermal transfer method that allows you to do what only professional foil stampers could do until now: print customized text and graphics in brilliant foil colors, with excellent clarity, on a variety of cover materials, all in just minutes. Now you can design and economically print your own document covers right on your desktop computer, in real time. Personalize individual copies of a report, add your company logo or include your client’s name and logo on your next proposal. Connect the Foilfast™ printer to your Mac or PC computer and create a design using your favorite software application, choose your colors and print. Whether you choose our popular Foilfast™ composition covers or our Clear Covers, the Foilfast™ prints crisp, bright images and text with excellent clarity. The Foilfast™ also prints in multiple colors in one operation.

Printer cartridges come in gold, silver, red, black, blue, green, white, and primer (applies an undercoat to improve print quality on certain paper stock). These are the same foils used with the PowisPrinter™, so the covers and spines of your documents will match perfectly.

Note: For best results the Foilfast™ is designed to print on smooth finish stock.  We recommend vinyl Composition Covers between 16 – 18.5 points thick (.0016 - .00185 inches) and clear covers between 6.5 – 7.5 points thick (0065 - .0075 inches).  Covers that fall outside the bounds of these thickness ranges may work in the Foilfast™ Printer, but print quality may suffer.  Cover that fall substantially beyond this thickness ranges may damage the printer’s feeding mechanism and may void warranty.
